Chicago Slam Works is "Slammin' in the Footlights!  We're moving slam onto the stage by bringing four dynamic, challenging, and fun shows to our new home, the Raven Theatre in Edgewater for our 2012 - 2013 season.  We've got a crazy mix of performance poets, storytellers, dead poets, dancers, and Germans that you've got to see to believe!

In Motion

Back by popular demand!  Sprechen Sie Deutsch?  See the universal power of Slam Poetry as Germany's best slammers once again collaborate with Chicago's Speak Easy Ensemble to translate, interpret and choreograph each other's work.  Together they build a stunning tableau of verse simultaneously performed in English and German.  This new style of performance will leave you speechless.

Chicago Slam Works is thrilled to announce our new partnership with Raven Theatre.  All of our performances this season will be at Raven Theatre at 6157 N. Clark St., Chicago, IL  60660.  The theatre is located on the southeast corner of Clark and Granville and there is a free parking lot on the property.
